To claim one of these Territories, players will need to build an Outpost on it with any of Humankind's land units. Players can stay under this cap in a few different ways, but one of the main ones is by Merging cities. This is represented in-game by Humankind's city cap, preventing players from having too many cities scattered across the map. While expansion is good, an empire in Humankind that grows too large will struggle to support itself. Like in Civilization, Humankind players guide a nation from prehistory to the modern age, developing, expanding, and founding new cities.
The new title represents a rare addition to the turn-based historical strategy genre, dominated by the Civilization series. Humankind, the historical 4X strategy from Amplitude Studios, launched for PC and Stadia this week.
